Our family farm has a love story in its history! It began in 1984 when Councill’s dad purchased 56 acres from a neighbor. Councill decided to plant some Christmas trees and see how that business would take off. 
Fast forward to 1993. After initially meeting Councill in the singles ministry at our church, we saw each other again at a camp out up at the farm with our Sunday School class. Our whirlwind romance began and one year later, we were married and I became a Christmas tree farmer’s wife!

        After inheriting more land in 1995, more trees were planted and Cranberry Creek Farms really began to grow! Our family grew as well with the addition of our son Will and our daughter, Maddy!

        Our event barn was first built as a picnic shelter for the family and friends. Each year we added more to it, building walls, pouring concrete and after a few years it became a focal point on the farm for choose and cut customers. Even as an agricultural barn we saw its potential for more!

        In 2015, we began hosting fourth grade field trips where the children learn about growing Christmas trees, Appalachian history and have square dances in the barn! It was then that we were asked about having other events on the farm including weddings!

        Cranberry Creek Farms holds many wonderful memories and now we hope to add to those as we help you celebrate your wonderful moments at the barn and branch at Cranberry Creek Farms!
